HCRA Approved Course for Home Builders and Vendors

This course provides an overview of the planning and general management needs of a residential construction business. Bringing together the disciplines of organization, product marketing and finances into a coordinated framework for running a construction business in the most professional way. Emphasis is on explaining business fundamentals, and how they relate to a smooth operation. The objective is to free business owners from administrative detail by providing tools and understanding to build an organization that can get things done and support them in their more critical role of developing the business.

Course topics include:

• Your reasons for being in business, what you want to achieve and your role
• How to develop business and product plans
• How to develop an organizational plan
• Financial elements of a business plan
• The day-to-day of running a successful business

Exam:

If you are applying for your HCRA License, successfully completing the exam is required for your application. This closed-book exam is a multiple-choice, true/false and multiple-answer format. The exam is available 24/7, an appointment is not needed, and you will have access to complete your exam for 60 days. You will have three (3) attempts to pass the exam. The pass mark is 70%.
