From the front-end demands of planning, budgeting and sourcing funds, through to cost control, cash management and financial supervision, as well as working with banks, accountants and formal financial reports. The course emphasizes understanding financial control more than the nuts and bolts of bookkeeping. The objective is to enable graduates to use financial information to assess their current situation, manage ongoing events and make sound plans for the future.<\/p>\n<h3>Course topics include:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>How money flows through your company and how to track that flow<\/li>\n<li>Accountability so that you don\u2019t have to monitor each transaction personally<\/li>\n<li>Interpretation of your financial statements<\/li>\n<li>What they tell you about the status of your company today and outlook for the future<\/li>\n<li>Elements of the business that may be straying from targets or expectations<\/li>\n<li>The impact or value of changes to sales, investment, cost structure<\/li>\n<li>How to adapt to those changes<\/li>\n<li>What funding needs will be, and how to ensure access to that funding<\/li>\n<li>The financial benefit you and other owners can derive from your effort and investment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Exam:<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">If you are applying for your HCRA License, successfully completing the exam is required for your application. This closed-book exam is a multiple-choice, true\/false and multiple-answer format. The exam is available 24\/7, an appointment is not needed, and you will have access to complete your exam for 60 days. You will have three (3) attempts to pass the exam. If you are unsuccessful after three attempts, you must retake the course.
