About This Course

Dealing effectively with change is a high priority for organizations today. This Change Management Certification has been developed by APMG in partnership with the Change Management Institute (CMI), an independent, global professional association of change managers. Together, they have developed a professional ‘body of knowledge’ for the discipline of change management, which provides an independent benchmark for the professional knowledge expected of an effective change manager. The course presents the latest knowledge theory and best practices in effective change management along with professional certification.

This course will prepare you for the APMG Change Management Foundation exam. The course textbook and readings will be provided prior to the course so that the participant may begin studying in advance of the course. In addition, daily homework, and practice exams will be provided. The Foundation-level exam is taken at the end of the course on the third day.

Prerequisites

Participants should read The Changer Manager’s Handbook prior to attending class. The book is part of the course package and will be sent to participants upon enrolment.

What You’ll Learn

During this course participants will examine a variety of change management techniques and change management models commonly used within organizations. A structured approach to change helps to better deal with change as an individual, as a member of a team or organization, and as a leader. The Foundation course explores the impact that change has on four areas:

  • Change and the Individual
  • Change and the Organization
  • Communications and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Change Management Practice

 

Course Materials and Fees

The Changer Manager’s Handbook is part of the course package and will be sent to participants upon enrolment. The exam is included in the fee for the course.

Additional Notes

Exams are taken online after the course is completed. ACCT will provide guidance and authorization for participants to arrange an exam at a time convenient to them.
